Researchers wishing to store samples obtained from other Institutions (within the UK or imported from outside the UK) in Imperial College, must first register a sub-collection. Please see Sub-collections for more information on registering a sub-collection.
The following documents must also be uploaded onto the online database;
- Documentation to show that the originators of the material have given permission for these samples to be held in Imperial College and what the samples can be used for (e.g. Material and Data Transfer Agreement, template of consent form, and copy of patient information leaflet).
- Documentation to show that there is approval for the project from an appropriate Ethics Committee and/or that the samples have been sourced with due regard to the laws and ethics of the source country.
- A protocol description, where appropriate.
