CSRPG Post-Doc Dr Rhea Harewood Awarded Cancer Research UK's Bridge to Academic Leadership Award
CSPRG post-doc, Dr Rhea Harewood, has been awarded the prestigious Cancer Research UK Bridge to Academic Leadership Award. This highly competitive award is designed to support outstanding postdocs as they transition towards independence, developing the skills needed to become future group leaders.
Rhea’s research focuses on the aetiology of proximal bowel cancer, with a particular interest in understanding how lifestyle factors shape cancer risk through their effects on proteins and metabolites in the body. With the support of this award, she will be able to further refine her skills and expertise in this area, and develop the collaborations required to become an independent researcher and a future group leader in this critical area of bowel cancer research.
