Our cancer research group belongs to the Department of Surgery and Cancer within the Faculty of Medicine at Imperial College London. Our group also works closely with the School of Public Health in the Faculty, and with the NIHR Imperial Biomedical Research Centre (BRC).

The Faculty of Medicine at Imperial is a world-class teaching and research environment led by Professor Deborah Ashby, the Dean of the Faculty. It comprises of eight departments, all of which are Athena SWAN Award holders in recognition and celebration of their good employment practices for women in science.

The Department of Surgery and Cancer strives to deliver Imperial’s research and education mission in an environment where everyone can thrive. The department is led by Professor George Hanna and is a holder of the Athena SWAN Gold Award.

The School of Public Health is committed to improving health in populations throughout the world, training the next generation of healthcare leaders and influencing policy and programmes across the globe. The School is led by Professor Neil Ferguson.

The NIHR Imperial BRC is a part of the NIHR and hosted by Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in partnership with Imperial College London. NIHR BRCs are collaborations between NHS organisations and universities. They bring together academics and clinicians to translate scientific discoveries into potential new treatments, diagnostics and technologies. The NIHR Imperial BRC supports research on early diagnosis, precision medicine, digital health, and convergence science.
