Dr Kate Honeyford

I'm a statistician, working in with Dr Ceire Costelloe in the Global Digital Health Unit. We are analysing the impact of the introduction of digital sepsis alerts across five NHS Trusts. Since students exam results were used to create school 'league tables' I have been interested in how to effectively use routine data to improve outcomes for students, patients, and employees. In the GDHU we are interested in using statistical approaches to analyse natural experiments and causal inference approaches.

So many people, but on International Women's Day a special mention for my mum and sister - for their social activism, academic pursuits and being brilliant mothers. At work, my colleagues inspire me, every day. Their brilliance, passion, hardwork and kindness.

During lockdown I have nearly learned to knit. I am unbelievably bad at it, but it is nearly rewarding.
