Poor quality home environments—damp, mould, cold, or overheating, and pollution—are linked to significant health problems in households across London and the UK. However, healthier, energy efficient homes can improve physical and mental health, cut energy and healthcare costs, and support climate goals. WellHome II is a research project by Imperial College London.
We are working in partnership with Southwark Council and Impact on Urban Health to study how energy efficiency upgrades (“retrofit”) affect indoor air and health in social housing.
