Confidentiality Agreement

When you work with us, we're committed to protecting the privacy and security of your research information. Everything you share with us remains strictly confidential – your project details will only be visible to our RSS staff and will not be shared externally without your explicit consent. 

Who might see your information 

Apart from your assigned RSS advisors, we may occasionally share your application or ideas with: 

• Public contributors who help review applications - they've completed confidentiality training and signed agreements before starting this work 

• Specialist advisors who support our grantsmanship review service – we work with expert reviewers who act as Specialist Advisors.You have an opportunity to declare anyone you do not wish to review your application. They follow the same confidentiality standards we do. 

Internal training and development 

The RSS may use your application materials and any feedback you receive for internal staff training and development purposes. We will anonymise these materials by removing identifying information such as names, project titles, and reference numbers.  

Why we request your final application details 

When you submit your funding bid or receive feedback, we request a copy of these documents. This helps us evaluate whether our support was useful and track funding outcomes - it's purely for internal service development and will not be shared externally. 

Our data protection measures
