How the eNewborn database is formed

Legacy eNewborn data from its commencement in 2014 has been transferred to Imperial College London under a specific data sharing agreement with all contributors.

For prospective data, eNewborn provides flexible methods for partner hospitals, and networks to contribute, either by sending data using a secure File Transfer Service or by entering data individually for each patient.

Both methods are completely secure and have been authorised by the Imperial College London Information Governance Team.

Quality assurance

Data are quality assured before entry into the eNewborn database. We are developing methods to enable contributors to review and if necessary, correct, any data identified as potentially erroneous.

Regulatory approvals

eNewborn is a UK National Research Ethics Service approved database (reference 20/LO/1046).
