MRes in Clinical Research (Human Nutrition)
What attracted you to that course?
I was passionate about nutrition and had positive past experience in research. I wanted to understand how clinical trials worked, and this course perfectly matched my interests.
What specific aspects of the teaching or course format did you enjoy the most?
I very much enjoyed the course material and teaching quality. The teaching staff was kind and dedicated. Having the freedom to undertake a longer research project was also a fantastic aspect of the course, and I had a great time with my supervisor.
How do you think the course will impact your future career?
Before starting the MRes, I was really unsure about my career path. I left with a much clearer idea. Discovering the fascinating world of clinical research confirmed that I wanted to pursue a career in the field.
Why did you choose Imperial College London?
I chose Imperial because of the teaching quality and because the course matched my interests really well.
What did you most appreciate about your time at Imperial?
I enjoyed the research project the most during my time at Imperial, and specifically the clinical study visits. This was completely new to me, and I genuinely enjoyed working with and for people. I had never had such an interesting research experience. We also had a lovely cohort and a great teaching staff this year, which made it ever more special.
What are you doing now? And how has the course helped with your career?
I really enjoyed the Imperial career service. I have now moved back to Belgium to complete my driver's license and am working on a start-up with friends. I would then love to begin working as a clinical researcher in Europe.
