Mr. Huifeng Shi is a Senior Project Manager in the Research Group of Metal Forming and Materials Modelling at Imperial College London. He has played key technical and managerial roles in Innovate UK and industrial research projects, particularly in leading impact acceleration activities for the research group. With extensive industrial collaborators and a strong network of national and international partners, he has successfully facilitated the translation of research into industrial applications.
During his tenure at Imperial College, Mr. Shi has played a pivotal role in initiating and coordinating multiple international collaborations, bringing in more than £1.5 million in funding and ensuring the smooth operation and sustainable impact of these projects. His unique combination of academic insight, industrial vision, and management expertise enables him to act as a bridge between research innovation and real-world industrial implementation.
Before joining Imperial College, Mr. Shi served as the Executive Deputy Director of the National Key Laboratory for Integrated Space-Ground Information Technology in China, where he gained substantial experience in research management and large-scale project coordination. He also held strategic management positions in major Aerospace enterprises, where he developed a strong understanding of industrial development, technology transfer, and project management in complex industrial environments.
