Chemical Kitchen

An Imperial education project that uses cooking as a parallel to scientific, medical and professional practice.

Since 2019, Chemical Kitchen has grown into a portfolio that reaching 1,000 learners a year. They range from undergraduates across the sciences to senior leaders in executive education. Everyone has cooked. That shared starting point lets us set the subject aside and focus on what training usually leaves unsaid: the precision and care of lab work, and the way professionals work together and make decisions. We welcome colleagues who want to collaborate, use the facility, or build on our research.
