"Studying for a Master's or PhD at the CEP is inspiring and rewarding, and one of the best parts of our work is seeing students’ enthusiasm. However, we know circumstances can sometimes affect your experience, and CEP has a long tradition of pastoral care. As Senior Tutor, I oversee this support. Whether through personal tutors, wellbeing resources, or simply someone to listen, it is a privilege to help foster a community where every student feels supported both academically and personally."
How we support our students
Personal tutors - Every Master's student is assigned a personal tutor - an academic member of staff who is a consistent point of contact throughout your studies to support. Tutors meet with students at key points during the year and are available for one-to-one advice or to connect you with specialist services if needed.
Pastoral care and wellbeing - From academic pressures to personal challenges, our pastoral support system is here to help you stay on track and make the most of your time at Imperial.
Wider Imperial resources - As well as CEP’s dedicated support, all students have access to Imperial’s extensive wellbeing, counselling and academic resources through the Student Support Zone.
Building a supportive community
We believe support goes hand in hand with community. Through tutorials, social events and day-to-day interactions, you’ll find yourself part of a department where staff and students look out for one another.
