Prestigious student award won by Lucy Wang

Miss Lei (Lucy) Wang has won one of two Student Awards for her research at the 19th European Biomass Conference in Berlin

The 19th European Biomass Conference and Exhibition (EU BC&E), the leading platform for the world’s biomass specialists, took place in Berlin, Germany from 6-10 June 2011.

This event hosted more than 800 presentations in plenary, oral and visual sessions for over 1,000 participants, experts and visitors from across the world.

Miss Lei (Lucy) WANG, with support from the Division of Biology and the Porter Institute at Imperial College, won one of only two student awards for her work on the biochemical conversion of waste paper(s) into biofuels under the supervision of  Prof Richard Templer and Dr Richard J. Murphy.
