The Singapore National Research Foundation (NRF) invites exceptional, young researchers (below 40 years of age due to visa restrictions) to apply for the prestigious Singapore NRF Fellowship Awards.

The Singapore NRF Fellowship provides:

  • Complete freedom and independence to pursue your vision of path-breaking research
  • A 5-year research grant of up to S$3 million (US$2.4 million) 
  • A highly competitive salary
  • The opportunity for tenure-track appointment at Singapore’s universities or research institutions
  • Freedom to select a host institution in Singapore

Apply now if you have a PhD degree from a reputable university and work at the forefront of research in your field. International recognition for your work to date is strongly desired, for example - prior published work with renowned research groups or individuals.

The Singapore NRF Fellowship is open to all talented scientists and researchers under the age of 40 years at the date of application. We welcome researchers in all disciplines of science and technology: life sciences, natural/physical sciences, engineering, computer science (including infocomm technology and interactive & digital media).

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to Singapore to present their research work to prospective host research organisations. Final selection for the awards will be made by an international panel comprising eminent research leaders and academia.
