Institute PDRA, Dr David Chapman, assisted the research team for the design and development of the 1000mph Bloodhound Car. Specifically he was involved in research to identify the best alloy for the task, which involved firing pieces of grit at samples of metal using a gas gun at Cavendish Laboratory.
