On Sunday 11 September, 27 ladies braved the threat of high winds and rain to take part in the adidas Women’s 5K Challenge to raise funds to help in the fight against malaria.

They came dressed in a range of malaria related outfits from home made shiny eyes and probiscus to running under a mosquito net.

After a quick warm up the team joined an estimated 17,000 other ladies on the starting line – or rather starting queue as there were so many runners and walkers taking part!
