Club Captain's Evening and Fashion Show
On Monday 3 October, the Sport Imperial team hosted this year’s Annual Club Captains Evening in Ethos. Club Captains from all sports clubs and societies, including the Medical clubs, were invited to attend. Guests were welcomed by drinks and nibbles in the Ethos cafe, before being entertained and informed by Neil Mosley, Head of Sport Imperial and Assistant Director of Commercial Services about this forthcoming season. They were given dates for their diaries, information about the Sports Partnership and BUCS & ULU fixtures, scholarship information and potential changes and improvements for Sport in the year ahead.
The evening's main event was a Sport Imperial and Kukri fashion Show. Sport imperial have recently formed a partnership with Kukri to provide the Imperial sports clubs with team playing kit and provide an offer of kit to anybody within the College community. A stage and show lighting took over the Ethos sports hall, with students and guests filling the chairs either side and a warm welcome from Victoria and Albert, the Sport Imperial mascots. Students from a number of the sports clubs kindly modelled the new sports kit.
We must thank Rugby Union’s David Wilson who never told us that he models as a weekend job and is an experienced cat walker! He led the troops by example and admitted that although he is due to graduate this year, is more than happy to lead the way with next year’s show. The show highlighted not only the club team playing kits, but bespoke Sport Imperial sportswear and casual leisure wear that is available to purchase both online and in the shop!
