CSEM Brasil announced today the award of US$4.2M from the Minas Gerais State government to support their new initiative in Plastic Electronics. Late last year, CSEM Brasil signed, along with Fapemig, a Memorandum of Understanding for scientific cooperation with the Centre for Plastic Electronics at Imperial College London, the main international reference in the study of this technology.
This announcement was subsequently the subject of a feature article in the Brazilian Financial Times.

Also quoted in the CSEM press release, Prof. Donal Bradley - CPE director adds "Minas Gerais State has demonstrated great vision in deciding to support new and emerging technologies that are capable of accelerating major economic development. Its model of partnership with the private sector and with excellence centres in Brasil and worldwide provides a valuable mechanism to efficiently deliver substantial outcomes. I and my colleagues at the Imperial College London Centre for Plastic Electronics are delighted to be a part of this exciting initiative".
