This initiative recognises the outstanding contribution to and support for the Graduate School's transferable skills training programme amongst Imperial academics.
Dr Colin Belton: 2011 Recipient of the Graduate School Director's Award for Transferable Skills Training
Dr Colin Belton [Department of Physics] was chosen as the recipient of the 2011 Director's Award for Transferable Skills Training. Colin has shown great support and dedication to the Graduate School Training programme, tutoring on the Research Skills Development residential course for 5 years as well as being a frequent speaker on the Your PhD: Finish Up Move On course, sharing his take on research careers. Colin also tutored on the Hong Kong Research Skills Development course for the first time in 2011.
The Award
The Graduate School Director’s Award for Transferable Skills Training is a recent initiative to recognise the outstanding contribution to and support for the Graduate School's transferable skills training programme amongst Imperial academics.
This award is intended to reward staff who have shown dedication to supporting the Graduate School's training programme.
The award is open to all members of College academic staff who participate in the programme, with the exception of salaried Graduate School staff. Nominations for 2011-12 will be opened later in the year and will be invited from current postgraduate students and staff.
