Eddy Wastewater Principles/Processes Medal

Imperial College’s Reader in Environmental Technology will receive the esteemed Eddy Wastewater Principles/
Processes Medal from the Water Environment Federation. The award will be presented during WEFTEC 2010 in New Orleans, LA.
The WATER ENVIRONMENT FEDERATION (WE
F) Board of Trustees has selected Dr Nick Voulvoulis (along with co-authors Dawn Sok Cheng Pang, Victoria Francesca Rowsell and Foteini Tsafou) for this award for the article “Removal of Steroid Estrogens from Wastewater Using Granular Activated Carbon: Comparison between Virgin and Reactivated Carbon”.
The Eddy Medal honors Harrison Prescott Eddy, a prominent engineer and a pioneer in the field of wastewater treatment. The medal is awarded for research that makes a vital contribution to the existing knowledge of the fundam ental principles or process of wastewater treatment, as com prehensively described and published in a federation periodical.
