Doris Pappoe celebrates her 25 years service in the Department of Chemistry
On Friday 11th November, the Department hosted a reception to celebrate Doris Pappoe’s 25 years in Chemistry and to thank her for all her hard work and commitment over the years. Doris first joined the Department in 1986 as a Departmental Secretary and has worked in various roles since including being a secretary to the late Professor Charles Rees. She began her current position as Departmental Postgraduate Secretary in 1998, and recently in October 2011 became Postgraduate Administrator. Since 1998 she has provided administrative support and advice to over 1,000 Research Students from their initial application process to the PG award ceremony. She always makes a point of attending the PG Award Ceremony Reception to congratulate the graduands and meet the parents on this happy occasion.
At the recent reception Doris commented “It is a great honour for me to celebrate 25 memorable years in Chemistry!”
Congratulations Doris!
