DoC Academic's lab to be part of the celebrations around the Olympics
The laboratory of Dr. Aldo Faisal (Lecturer in Neurotechnology) was selected to be the representative of "present day" biomedical research for the upcoming MRC Centennial Celebration Exhibition in London.
Dr Faisal's research lab combines Computational and Experimental approaches to neuroscience
to advance biomedical technology and therapies. The Neurotechnology lab will be replicated in
the exhibition and feature scientists and actors performing experiments in front of and with the public.
The functioning replica of Dr Faisal laboratory together with a reconstructed medical research laboratory from 1913 and a laboratory of the future as envisioned by children will form the interactive cornerstones of the exhibition. The exhibition celebrates 100 years of biomedical research as supported by the Medical Research Council since it's foundation.
