SciFinder – Monday 6 February 2012 12.00 - 13.00
SciFinder is a research discovery tool that allows college students and faculty staff to access a wide diversity of research from many scientific disciplines, including biomedical sciences, chemistry, engineering, materials science, agricultural science, and more. This workshop will cover techniques and tips for getting the best results out of SciFinder and will include a practical hands-on session.
Academic writing – Thursday 9 February 2012 12.00 - 13.00
This workshop will show you techniques for improving your academic writing skills. You will learn how to understand essay questions, look at different academic writing formats and gain some tips to help in those all important exams. This workshop is aimed at those who are relatively new to writing at degree level. We are not able to offer a one-to-one advisory service to students during this workshop.
