A Grand Challenge Exploration grant has been awarded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

Dr Martyn A McLachlan, Dr Steven Cobb (University of Durham) and Dr Sarah Haigh (University of Manchester) have been awarded a Grand Challenge Exploration grant by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation valued at USD$100,000 to develop technologies to recover energy from sewage waste.
