Life science undergrad/postgrad students required to assist in the running of Annual Conference and Exhibition in return for free access to sessions and networking opportunities

We are looking for life science undergrad/postgrad students to assist in the running of The Institute of Clinical Research (ICR) 32nd Annual Conference and Exhibition at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London from 14-15 May 2012. In return we are offering them admission to their preferred sessions wherever possible over the two days. The full conference programme is available to view at http://www.icr-global.org/community/conferences/2012-annual-conference/ with the theme of the clinical research sans frontiéres; the practicalities of conducting clinical research in a global environment.

Typical duties will be split between groups of assistants alongside ICR staff. Intersted students should contact  aolley@icr-global.org or the conference organiser Julia Lancaster at jlancaster@icr-global.org before 30th April 2012.

Duties are likely to include any of the following:

ICR Registration Desk at peak times

Roving mics for Q&A sessions

Directing Delegates to Conference Rooms at the start of sessions

General Runners for ad hoc jobs

Students would need to make their own travel arrangements for which they would not be reimbursed but would receive refreshment vouchers for lunch and teas etc. and of course have access not just to the conference speaker sessions but exhibition hall consisting of a range of CROs and Health Service representatives and recruiters.
