More Student Success
A Chemical Engineering undergraduate has won the Salters' graduate prize, and a PhD student the Thomas Jennings award.
Final year MEng student Neal Wannell has been awarded the 2012 Salters' Graduate Prize, awarded each year to final year Chemistry or Chemical Engineering students from UK universities who are expected to achieve a first class degree. "I am delighted to have won this award," said Neal, who takes home a prize of £1,000. "Thank you very much to the Department for having sponsored me and I'm proud to have represented Imperial College."
Furthermore, at the 5th ISLFD (International Society of Lyophilization - Freeze Drying) conference in Bologna last month, PhD student Shamila Devi was awarded the Thomas Jennings award for her poster 'Porosity of Lyophilised Cakes: Effects of Vial-Shelf Contact Area'.
Congratulations to both.
