Imperial College Healthcare Charity offers one –year research fellowships to support researchers to gain skills and laboratory experience. The aim is for researchers to collect preliminary data to enable them to obtain further funding after one year from a major grant awarding body. The charity is currently accepting applications for research fellowship applications for 2012/13 from staff across Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
The Charity has a particular interest in supporting innovative, translational studies arising from sound science. Applications must meet our strategic aims of “projects that can show how they will have a direct impact on the health of the communities we serve and address health inequalities, patient safety and experience. The Trustees expect projects to create learning and knowledge that can be disseminated more widely around the NHS”
£50,000 is available for one year only to cover salary and related costs.
Exclusions: applicants must be UK residents. Applicants already holding a PhD will not be eligible nor can this funding be used to cover one year of a PhD.
Deadline for applications: Friday 25 May 2012, 5pm.
