MEng students runners up in BP competition
A proposal put together by three Imperial MEng students earned runner up status in the 2012 Ultimate Field Trip Competition
Zhi Xiong Chong (MEng Materials with Nuclear Engineering), Zie Wearn Chua (MEng Chemical Engineering) and Wern Chia Chang (MEng Chemical Engineering) were runners up in the Grand Final of BP’s “The Ultimate Field Trip” competition of 2012 with their proposal for a carbon-neutral oil refinery by 2030. The competition attracted about 150 teams from across the UK and resulted in a final held at the Royal Institution in London where the teams were questioned, in public, on their proposal by a panel of senior industrialist.
