FoNS Awards for Excellence in Teaching
Prestigious awards to recognise individuals who have made a major contribution to learning and teaching within the Faculty of Natural Sciences
In 2010 the Faculty Principal, Prof. Maggie Dallman asked the FoNS Teaching Committee to instigate a series of prestigious awards to recognise Teaching Excellence within the Faculty. It was decided that the awards should recognise individuals who have made a major contribution to learning and teaching within the Faculty of Natural Sciences. Academics and also GTAs, PDRAs, Technical Staff, Teaching Support Staff and Learning Technologists who make a significant contribution to the learning process within College are eligible for nomination. Academic Colleagues and Students are involved in the nomination process.

The following individuals were honoured at an award reception held in the Department of Physics Senior Common Room on the 26th June 2012 starting at 5pm. Awards were made by the Deputy Rector, Prof. Stephen Richardson, the Faculty Principal, Prof. Maggie Dallman, and the Chair of the FoNS Teaching Committee, Prof. Alan Spivey:
