Olympic Games availability arrangements within IT Services

As the main Olympic Games period of 27 July – 12 August approaches it is clear that there may be significant disruption to the journeys of our staff

Dear Colleague,

As the main Olympic Games period of 27 July – 12 August approaches it is clear that there may be significant disruption to the journey’s of our staff.

In response to this, staff in some areas of IT Services will work a rota system combined with some working from home or from an alternative Campus location. Staff will also stagger their working hours to try and avoid the worst times to travel by starting their day earlier than normal or later than normal. They will obviously also adjust the time they finish work correspondingly.

With this in mind ICT IT Services is advertising the following periods as the best time to guarantee that customers will be able to interact with some IT Services staff face to face. Staff will be available outside of these times, but to ensure you can see a member of staff please arrive during the following advertised hours for the services listed below:

 

Service

Availability Mon-Fri  27/7/12 – 12/8/12

Service Desk

9.00 – 17.00

PC Procurement, Software Shop, AV Support, Faculty IT Support

10.30 – 14.30

 

The Service Desk will continue to answer telephone calls from 8.30 – 18.00 Monday to Friday. Outside of these hours our standard Out of Hours procedure is in place to cover any emergencies.
