The Unwin Postgraduate Prize is awarded each year to the best graduating PhD student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering

The Unwin Postgraduate Prize is awarded each year to the best graduating PhD student in the Department. Some excellent PhDs were completed/awarded in 2012 and we are pleased to announce that the 2012 Unwin Prize is shared between two very deserving winners:

Dr Mukesh Kumar: "Inelastic seismic response assessment of moment resisting steel frames" (supervised by Dr Peter Stafford and Prof Ahmed Elghazouli)

and

Dr Ramtin Hosseini Kamal: "Experimental study of the geological properties of UK mudrocks" (supervised by Prof Richard Jardine and Prof Matthew Coop).
