Beginning of the River Ganges

Students working on the Hydroflux India project presented their work at the BHS Peter Wolf Early Career Hydrologists' Event

Students from India and UK working on the Hydroflux India project have presented successfully their work at the BHS Peter Wolf Early Career Hydrologists' Event held at the Imperial College London from 25-26 March 2013. Congratulations to Simon Moulds (IC London) for winning the best poster award for the work on the "Modelling land cover change in the Upper Ganga basin". Gina Tsarouchi (IC London) gave a talk entitled "Quantifying the impact of land use change on hydrological responses in the Upper Ganga Basin, India". Ila Chawla (IISc Bangalore), who visited the Department as a part of the knowledge exchange programme within the project, presented the poster "Impact of land use and climate change on the hydrology of Upper Ganga catchment".
