JISC is offering £5K grants to student teams with ideas on the use of technology to improve the student experience at university

The JISC Student Innovation initiative has issued a call for ideas on the use of technology to improve the student experience at university.

Student teams are asked to design and develop a technology solution that will provide benefit to the institution and which could be adopted by other institutions. The projects are expected to take place this summer and will culminate in a showcase in the autumn to representatives from UK HE institutions. The teams will be provided with £5,000 to assist with the design and development of a prototype and for travel to workshops to support the project teams.

To apply for funding, student teams need to come up with an idea for a technology that will improve the student experience. The idea will need to be outlined in a short video and uploaded to the JISC elevator site. The ideas receiving the most votes from three or more institutions will be considered for the funding. The closing date for entries and voting is Monday 17th June at 5pm.

To enter your ideas and encourage your fellow students to vote for your suggestions visit the Summer of Student Innovation website or follow #studentideas on Twitter.
