CMS/New feature – Picture Gallery
Picture galleries can now be created and displayed on CMS pages – see example on http://www.imperial.ac.uk/WEBGUIDE/help/demogallery1
The Web Team have developed a Picture Gallery application, where site editors can upload photos, add captions, and define how they will be displayed.
Once the gallery exists, the Web Team will add the Picture Gallery 'web clipping' to the Portlet region on a page in your site. You can add a content item above the Picture Gallery for the page heading and any other text you want to introduce the gallery.
You can see a couple of demonstration pages at:
- http://www.imperial.ac.uk/webguide/help/demogallery1 The photos are set to automatically scroll through.
- http://www.imperial.ac.uk/webguide/help/demogallery2 The display is set to show numbered images with captions.
If you would like to use this feature on your CMS site, put a request into the Service Desk, giving the name of the Gallery and the URL of the page where you want to display the pictures. The Web Support team will create the gallery and send you the link so you can upload your pictures. We will also add the Picture Gallery web clipping to your page.
