Congratulations to Professor David Butler on his appointment as Editor in Chief of CIWEM's Water & Environment Journal.


Welcome to Dr Guangtao Fu who has joined the section as a post-doctoral research fellow under the supervision of Professor David Butler. Guangtao studied for his bachelors, masters and doctorate in China before spending a period at the University of Bristol working on probabilistic analysis of global climate change trends.  His responsibilities at Imperial will include further development of the integrated modelling of the urban wastewater system with emphasis on identification and quantif ication of uncertainty in model predict ions.


Professor Nigel Graham  recently attended the 17th World Congress of the International Ozone Association in Strasbourg (22-25 August). In addition to chairing a technical session on the use of ozone for water treatment, he was joint author of a paper presented orally entitled, “Low level ozonation for restaurant fish tank water quality control”, based on research undertaken with colleagues at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Professor Graham is Associate Editor of ‘Ozone: Science and Engineering’, the scientific journal of the International Ozone Association.
