UUK publish report on how tuition fees are spent
Universities UK have published a report demonstrating how tuition fees being used to improve the student experience and invest in the future.
The report, ‘Where student fees go’ examines the changes which have taken place since 2012, when direct government funding for universities was reduced and fees for students were increased to up to £9000. The report looks at how universities are responding to the changing expectations of students in light of higher fees and aims to give students and parents an insight into how fees are making a difference to universities and what they can offer for students.
Examples and case studies are provided from universities across England demonstrating how fee income has been used to invest in areas such as outreach and financial support, teaching and learning, campus facilities and employability.
