Bishop Lecture
Professor Richard Jardine gave the Bishop Honour lecture at the International Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering in Paris
Professor Richard Jardine gave the Bishop Honour lecture on 2nd September at the International Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering in Paris. This Lecture is named after Alan Bishop, who was a world famous geotechnical Professor in Civil Engineering Department up to his retirement in 1981. The Bishop Lecturers are held every four years and the lecturers are elected by the TC-101 the International Technical committee concerned with Advanced Geotechnical Laboratory Testing.
He will give the same lecture again later this month (29th October) at Columbia University (New York) as the Dongju Lee Memorial Lecture.
