Institution of Civil Engineers Gold Medal

Former Student receives Institution of Civil Engineers highest award

On Friday 18th October Robin Sham, former PhD student of Civil Engineering Department, received the Institution of Civil Engineers Gold Medal - its highest award. Robin is Director of AECOM, based in Hong Kong and is responsible for the company's work on long span bridges.

Attending to support Robin was another of our graduates, Peter Head, who had been Robin's boss on the Second Severn Crossing project as well as David Lloyd Smith and David Nethercot.
