EPSRC Doctoral Fellowships 2013

Congratulations to Adam Thomas and Christopher Lazda on their EPSRC Doctoral Prize Fellowships.

The EPSRC Doctoral Prize Fellowships scheme is intended to help universities attract and retain the very best newly qualified PhDs that received EPSRC studentship funding and help them to launch a career in research.  These highly prized fellowships were awarded to Adam and Chris from the Department of Mathematics, Imperial College.

Adam said: “During this fellowship I will round off the project I started during my PhD and then move onto new problems in related areas. “

Chris said: “My Doctoral Prize research will look at developing a new p-adic cohomology theory for algebraic varieties over equi-characteristic local fields, as well as investigating non-abelian Chabauty methods from the perspective of homotopy theory.
I am really looking forward to being able to explore some of the questions that have arisen as part of my PhD research.”
