MSc International Health Management students visit Kingston Hospital
On Friday 10 February MSc International Health Management students from Tanaka Business School, Imperial College London, came to Kingston Hospital for an all-day site visit. Dr Timothy Heymann, course lecturer in Managing Healthcare, invited them to meet with hospital managers to compare theories and ideas discussed in class with actual practice. In small groups, students were responsible for planning presentations dealing with various health management issues, and over a working lunch, the groups incorporated lessons learned in the morning meetings into their talks. In the afternoon, the groups presented to fellow students and staff, which also led to further discussions. The students would like to extend their thanks to everyone at Kingston Hospital who made the visit possible.
