A proposal has been submitted to EU for INTEGRAED PROJECT within the Framework Programme (FP6) under title:
Technologies and systems for drinking water production and distribution (UDWR).
Congratulations to Professor Nigel Graham for his ScD award from Cambridge University.
Congratulations to Emma Bowen who completed her PhD viva on 26 April. The title of her thesis was: In Situ Biological Denitrification of Groundwater for Potable Supply: A Laboratory Microcosm Study of Water Quality and Biofouling, supervised by Dr Stephen R Smith. Emma will travel to the Sezchwan Province of China early in May to take up a challenging postdoctoral position at Chong Qing University to establish a groundwater monitoring and sampling programme. We wish Emma the best of luck and success during her stay in China.
