Help sought from graduates of science and mathematics to understand how to make the role of teaching attractive
The opinion of science and mathematics graduates of all ages is sought to help determine how teaching - whether part-time, online or full-time - could be made a more attractive work option.
The UK's future prosperity and wellbeing in an increasingly competitive global environment will depend significantly on the level to which its workforce is educated. We need a greater number of well qualified teachers and one of the most serious problems is that too few graduates of science and mathematics opt to teach.
As part of the research into this issue, policy group WPN, with the support of Imperial College London, seeks the help of mathematics and science graduates, to spend ten minutes to take part in an online survey.
The survey is designed and administered by WPN, a UK-based policy network and research group that focuses on strategic policy issues.
If you are a maths or science graduate, already in a career unrelated to teaching or education, and currently living in the UK, please click here to take part. The survey is quick, user-friendly and will take only 10 minutes of your time. Your contribution will be highly valued. The more people who take part the greater value of the research findings in influencing the future of teaching in maths and the sciences.
