CMS/Upgrade - system outages 19/20 July

CMS will be read-only from 6pm 19 July till late afternoon 20 July. There will be two short outages on Friday morning and afternoon

To cope with increased usage, we shall upgrade the memory on the Portal CMS servers on Thursday 19th/Friday 20th July.
While the upgrade is taking place, the Portal CMS will be available in read-only mode, so sites can be viewed, but site developers will not be able to make any changes.

Site developers can work on sites up till 6pm on Thursday 19 July, at which time all sites will be put into read-only mode. We expect that sites will be available for editing again from late afternoon on Friday 20 July.

As part of the process, there will be two short outages of no more than ten minutes, one on Friday morning some time before 9.30 and one late Friday afternoon when the work is complete. During the outages sites will not be available at all.
