Tanaka Business School were in a festive mood yesterday evening, as more than 150 alumni, staff and current students reunited for the Centenary reunion. Alumni travelled from as far away as Russia, Egypt, Brazil and India for the night's introductory networking session, which kicked off the three-day extravaganza. The official theme for the reunion is "Global business challenges driving change" and the School will be hosting a series of debates around the theme today, chaired by high-profile business leaders and alumni. The Centenary reunion party this evening promises a memorable celebratory finale to an educational and informative day. Concluding the event will be the chance on Saturday morning to learn more about the School's cutting edge research and meet with key academic staff.
Chatting and mingling yesterday in the august surroundings of 58 Prince's Gate, an Edwardian townhouse which is one of Imperial's most luxurious properties, Nicola Pogson, Alumni Manager, was delighted to be welcoming alumni's back to their alma mater. She said: "one of our strengths, as a School, is the strong links that tie our alumni together. I'm delighted to get this opportunity, not just to greet our graduates, but also to give something back to them, in the way of cutting edge research and informed debate on the future of business. Above all, I'm looking forward to chatting to our alums, and seeing how their experience at the School has coloured their careers since then!"
