Department Supports Student Humanitarian Work

by Angela Frederick

Civil and Environmental Engineering Department supports student led activities.

Earlier this session the Department decided to make available a limited sum of money which is to be used to fund Undergraduate student-led activities such as expeditions or humanitarian projects. These funds are intended to be used in a positive way, in support of the student community as a whole, and recognises the innovative and worthwhile work our students are involved with. This year’s funds have now been allocated and we are pleased to report that the following projects have been made an award:

  • The El Salvador Project proposed by Orrin Lancaster
  • CAG Project Nepal proposed by Paul Zhu
  • E-Quinox proposed by Joakim Scharp

We wish them all success with their work over the Summer vacation.
