Dr Christian Onof has just started a three-year term as Chair of the subdivision on Precipitation and Climate of the European Geophysical Union. One of his main tasks will be the coordination of the hydrology sessions devoted to precipitation measurement and modelling, as well as climate model uncertainty and downscaling, at the annual meetings of the EGU in Vienna’
