UG2 Geology Field Trip

2nd year Undergraduate Field Trip

The Civil Engineering Year 2 Undergraduate students went on their study tour field trip earilier on this May. The trip is led by Dr Richard Ghail, Dr Jamie Standing and Dr Harry Saroglou . 

They visted Cheddar Gorge, Dartmoor and the Minehead coastline to study the influence of geology, environment and past human activity on the ground, and the hazards they pose for engineering. The above photo was taken in front of the dunes on the beach at Woolacombe.
