The Section of Investigative Medicine is pleased to announce that it is hosting two ten-week summer studentships funded by the Society for Endocrinology in 2014. These studentships offer undergraduate students who are studying endocrinology or a related life science subject an opportunity to gain research experience by working in a research environment.

Current Imperial College Biomedical Sciences student Mariana Norton will be supervised by Dr Kevin Murphy as she works on a project examining appetite and how the gut communicates information to key brain regions.

Sam O’Boy, also a current Imperial College student, will be supervised by Professor Duncan Bassett as he works in the Molecular Endocrinology Group to increase his knowledge and understanding of thyroid, bone and cartilage physiology.
