Acland Prize for Excellence

Congratulations to UG student Alberto Cucca, who has won the Acland Prize for Excellence in Humanities

Alberto took Creative Writing for his Horizons studies and is the first student from the Creative Writing module to win the Sir Arthur Acland Prize.  The module lecturer, Aifric Campbell, reported that Alberto has written “ a very beautiful piece and one that I hope will one day be published and shared with a wider audience”. The piece is called The Cosmic Ballet, about the start of the universe. Alberto is off to Berkeley to pursue his engineering year abroad for final year.
