ESA has awarded a certificate of approval to the Centre for Transport Studies to recognise our GALILEO receiver performance capability

The European Space Agency (ESA) has awarded a certificate of approval to the Centre for Transport Studies to recognise our GALILEO (Europe’s GPS equivalent) receiver performance capability in successfully capturing the signals and producing an accurate and reliable position fix. The receiver has been developed by the Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) team led by Dr Xin Zhang and Dr Shaojun Feng. The GALILEO system is expected to achieve initial operational capability (IOC) in 2015 and full operational capability (FOC) in 2020.
