5th International Slow Sand and Alternative Biological Filtration Conference

Professor Nigel Graham gave a key-note lecture at the 5th International Slow Sand and Alternative Biological Filtration Conference

The Conference was held in Nagoya, Japan on 19-21 June 2014. The title of the lecture was “Slow sand filtration: recent research and application perspectives”. The conference was hosted by the Nagoya City Bureau of Water and Sewerage to celebrate the centenary of the use of slow sand filtration at the city waterworks, and was sponsored by the International Water Association. Organisation of the conference was assisted by two alumni of Imperial College, Dr. Sombo Yamamura and Ir. Chua Bing Guan (MSc Public Health Engineering 1982-83) (in photograph with Prof Graham at the Nagoya Waterworks).
